Each year, we offer as many performance opportunities as possible to our students, in a variety of situations.

A sample of the performance opportunities that our students participate in:

  • in•form•als: In house performances that pair emerging choreographers with students and professional dancers.

  • Winter Concert: A performance at the George Rowland White Performance Space at Point Park University.  Students experience a professional, cross-genre audition for prominent choreographers such as PearlAnn Porter of the Pillow Project and Dana Lasota.  Auditions are October 20th.  More information is listed under "Performances > Auditions"

  • Spring Recital: Performed in the beautiful Hillman Center for Performing Arts at the Shady Side Academy.  The recital provides an opportunity for students of all levels to perform together.

  • Community performances:  DCP students have the option to perform in a variety of community outreach performances.  In the past, students have performed at nursing homes, festivals, and outdoor studio showcases.

We believe that an essential part of a preprofessional training program is professional grade performance experience.
