Our week program was created for emerging dancers ages 8-11 who want to dive into the study of dance. The Junior Intensive is a bridge to serious study without the seriousness. Classes are infused with passion and encourage dancers to explore the capabilities of the human body through technique and kinesiology. Students study ballet, jazz, modern, pilates, improvisation, and more.
Classes are taught by DCP directors, Danielle Pavlik and Mariah McLeod, DCP faculty, and guest artists.

What is Video Analysis? Do they just watch a movie?
Video Analysis allows for exposure and conversation! Dancers watch a video clip and engage in a guided conversation exploring ideas learned in class and identifying them. Through this venue dancers are also introduced to different influential choreographers and the history surrounding the work.
